Qantas is doubling down on rewards for its Frequent Flyer members, bringing back the highly anticipated Double Status Credits or Qantas Points offer. For a limited time, members can maximize their rewards by booking Qantas-operated flights, hotels, and holiday packages—a move that aligns with Qantas’ commitment to enhancing customer loyalty.
According to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Australia’s Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, and Communications, frequent flyer programs play a crucial role in customer retention, encouraging travelers to stay loyal to specific airlines. With record-high redemption rates, Qantas’ latest promotion is designed to further increase member engagement and travel spending.
From March 12 to March 18, 2025, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can register through the Qantas App and book unlimited flights to any destination on Qantas’ domestic, regional, or international network for travel between March 19, 2025, and February 24, 2026.
For the first time, Qantas is extending the double points offer to Qantas Hotel and Holiday bookings, allowing travelers to earn even more rewards on accommodation and vacation packages.
Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance emphasized that this offer is one of the most anticipated promotions of the year, helping frequent flyers reach elite status faster and accumulate more points for future travel.
“Hundreds of thousands of members benefited from this offer last year, helping them to attain or retain their frequent flyer status or boost their points balance. This year, we’ve expanded the offer to include double points on Qantas Hotel and Holiday bookings, making travel even more rewarding,” Glance said.
According to Tourism Australia, international travel demand has surged, with popular destinations like Tokyo, Singapore, Queenstown, and Bali seeing increased flight redemptions. 13,000 Classic Reward seats are booked on average every single day, reflecting strong engagement with the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
During the most recent offer, two-thirds of participants chose Double Status Credits, while one-third opted for Double Qantas Points. Some frequent flyers booked up to 51 flights, earning enough bonus Status Credits to reach Platinum One status multiple times over.
For example:
Qantas Business Rewards members can register separately to earn Double Points for their business travel bookings, helping companies save on future flights and travel expenses.
With airline loyalty programs becoming increasingly competitive, Qantas is leading the way in rewarding its frequent travelers. By offering both Double Status Credits and Double Points, the airline is catering to elite status seekers and leisure travelers alike, making 2025 a rewarding year for those planning ahead.
Travelers interested in maximizing this promotion should register early, book flights before March 18, and take advantage of the extended hotel and holiday booking rewards.
